BUDGET

Before you rent a monohull sailing yacht, a catamaran or a motor yacht for a week you need to consider your vacation budget. ‘’All Inclusive’’ charter yacht vacations provide your meals, bar,  lodging, transportation, and most every activity... so when you are evaluating the yacht’s pricing you must take all of these into consideration. Some Caribbean charter yacht’s pricing will state ’’plus expenses’’. These types of charters (usually the larger motor yachts) will take an additional deposit of 25% and apply that to fuel, dockage and special provisions. Consulting a charter yacht broker will ensure these aspects are all addressed upfront.
 

CRUISING AREA

The Caribbean offers an almost infinite number of sublime destinations to take your private yacht.  Each region offers a slightly different character...from culturally vibrant, to tourist hotspots, to the totally uninhabited. If you do not have a specific area in mind, it is best to ask the experts. Number and Type of Guests

Looking for a charter that can accommodate several couples, or do you need a kid-friendly yacht with twin berths or bunk beds? Once you decide the number and configuration of bedrooms, this will help filter the selection of yachts  that will suit you. While smaller yachts are perfect for a group of friends travelling together, larger yacht provides spacious accommodations so everyone has ample space. Type of Amenities

As you look through the yachts, give some consideration to the amenities that are most important to you. Fine cuisine is a specialty of a private charter yacht, but different yachts may have a variety of eating areas available. You may wish to eat a formal meal inside and casual meals outside or even up on the flybridge.  If you are a watersports fan, select a yacht with the type of equipment you enjoy such as diving or snorkeling equipment, kayaks, windsurfers, paddle boards, water skis, or even a jacuzzi tub. If there is a specific option or sport that you would like available, ask your charter agent and they will find you a matching yacht, or will make arrangements to have that equipment placed on the yacht of your choice.

Once you have fine-tuned your requirements, it's time to choose your preferred style. Charter yachts, just like hotels and houses, come in all styles, shapes, and sizes. When you rent a yacht for a week, you can either select ultra-modern yachts with euro-styled interiors, or you can go for a traditional yacht with modern fixtures, but you may find smaller accommodations.
